Privacy Policy
Anton Klimenko built the Bottler app as a Commercial app. This SERVICE is provided by Anton Klimenko and is intended for use as is.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Bottler collects, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have. By using Bottler you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Terms used here have the same meanings as in the Bottler Terms of Service, available in the Terms of Service section of the app.
Information We Collect
Account: when you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique account identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email address (it may be a private relay address created by Apple). When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, email address, name and profile photo; the photo is only offered as your Bottler profile picture, which you confirm. We never receive your Apple ID or Google password.
Profile: your username, profile picture, bio, interests (tags), the date you joined, the time of your last visit and counters of your activity in the app.
Content: the bottles (messages) and replies you send and receive, including the Apple Music song attached to a bottle (its title, artist, cover and links; no audio is stored), your favorite moments, friends and friend requests, the users you block and the reports you submit.
Purchases: if you subscribe, your subscription status and purchase history are processed by Apple and by RevenueCat. We never receive your payment card details.
Device and diagnostics: a push notification token, app and device information, crash reports and usage statistics.
How We Use Information
To create your account and profile and to deliver bottles and replies between users, including matching bottles to users by their interests with our algorithms.
To keep the community safe: sent bottles are recorded and checked automatically for prohibited words, and reports are reviewed by the Bottler team, which may remove content and restrict or ban accounts that break the Terms of Service.
To provide subscriptions and apply the limits of your plan.
To send you notifications about new bottles and replies (you can turn them off in iOS Settings).
To fix crashes, protect the service from abuse and improve the app.
What Other Users See
Bottles and replies are delivered to other users together with your username, profile picture, bio and plan badge. Your public profile (username, picture, bio, interests) can be viewed by other users. Your account identifier, email and purchase information are never shown to other users.
Service Providers
Bottler uses the following third parties to run the service. They process information on our behalf and only for these purposes:
Google Firebase (Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, Analytics, Remote Config, App Check) to host data and run the app;
RevenueCat to manage subscriptions;
Apple for Sign in with Apple, payments, push notifications and the Apple Music catalog (song search and 30-second previews, streamed from Apple);
Google for Sign in with Google.
Your information may be stored and processed on servers located in the United States and other countries.
We do not sell your personal information, do not show ads and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your information while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → About Bottler → Delete Account. Deletion immediately removes your profile, username, profile picture, interests, your copies of conversations and your subscription record at RevenueCat, and revokes Bottler's access to your Apple ID. Bottles you already sent may remain in the inboxes of the users who received them. Records about content that broke the rules and about banned accounts may be kept as long as needed to keep the community safe or to comply with the law.
Security
We use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, including access rules that let users read only their own data. Remember that no method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
Bottler is not intended for anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information and to object to its processing. You can edit your profile and delete your account in the app; for anything else, contact us.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when they are published in the app; the date of the last revision is shown below.
